Hey friends,

Let’s say you own a bricks and mortar store on a high street…

The more customers you could entice into your shop, the more sales you would probably make, and the more money you would likely earn.

Well, the same principle applies to a website…

The more traffic you can drive to a website, the more people will see your content and therefore the more money you should be making.

Sounds simple?? Well, it can be, when done right…

But we live in a world where people and businesses are demanding more and more of our attention.

So just how do you get more eyes on your site? Here’s 5 pro tips to get your started that have proven to get amazing results:

#1. Get SOCIAL!

– Social media, whether you like it or not, is now an important part of everyday life for most people… and for most businesses.

To really drive traffic to your website, create engaging content that your friends / followers / subscribers are likely to read, and more importantly, share. The more your content is shared, the more people will be made aware of your site.

But with so many social media sites – Facebook, Insta, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more – it can be overwhelming. So best advice is to pick one, get educated and master that instead of trying to become great at them all.

#2. Invest In SEO

– SEO, or Search Engine Optimisation, is all about helping your website to rank higher on the search engine rankings than your competitors.

Ideally, when people search for keywords and phrases that are relevant to your business and website, you want your website to be as close to the top of page 1 of the returned results as you can possibly get it.

Having a great SEO strategy is essential, but there’s a lot involved – keyword targeting, website optimisation, back-linking, copywriting, and much more.

It can also take a lot of time and often you don’t see the results from your efforts today, for weeks or even months, but investing in SEO is a must.

#3. Create A Marketing Strategy

– Having a solid marketing strategy in place (and one that you follow) is mission critical for increasing web traffic.

In your strategy, include elements such as blog posting for example – because each time you publish new content on your site, it can then be shared on social media, allowing people to view your posts and click relevant links to take them to your site.

Also, building an opt-in email subscriber list then delivering great content can be so powerful when done right. Remember to always include a link to click in your emails to increase the possibility of people being directed straight to your website.

#4. Responsive And Optimised

– If your website is not mobile-optimised, stop reading this and go get it sorted right away, because none of the other stuff matters until this is done.

Statistically, more people now browse the web on smart phones or tablets, than on laptops and computers. So if your site isn’t mobile-friendly, people will not stick around trying to navigate a page that’s just too hard to read.

And in terms of being optimised, slow loading pages are a definite no-no, as are websites cluttered with images, videos, and walls of texts. When it comes to the perfect website, simplicity is often the key.

#5. Latent Semantic Indexing – say what??

– Latent Semantic Indexing keywords, or LSI keywords for short, are basically words and phrases which are relevant to your primary target keyword.

For example, if your website sells running shoes, your target keyword / phrase will likely be ‘running shoes’. Your LSI keywords however, would be related to running shoes, so words such as: running or shoes or exercise or outdoors or fitness or sports or health, and so on…

And when the search engines see your LSI keywords, they recognise the fact that the content containing the LSI keywords is definitely based around running shoes, which in turn helps boost you up the rankings when people search for words or phrases containing any words found in your content.

In summary, you can have the best product or offer the best service in the world, but if no one can find you online, you’re almost certainly leaving money on the table.
